Brooke graduated in 2002 from New York University, where she double majored in Dramatic Writing and Religious Studies and served as Theatre Editor of the NYU paper.  She has written for TheaterMania.com, New England Entertainment Digest, Stage Directions Magazine, Show Business Weekly, and Go2 Mobile, and she was a contributing author to The TheaterMania Guide to Musical Theater Recordings and the newly published book Arts America (as well as its companion website artsamerica.us).  Staged readings of Brooke’s plays and musical theatre projects have been held at Stage One Theater in Louisville, New Jersey Dramatists & The Waterfront Ensemble in Teaneck and Jersey City, Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festival’s PlayFest 2005 in Orlando, and at both Ensemble Studio Theatre and the American Theatre of Actors in New York City.  Her latest play, Beneath the Banyan Tree, recently had a reading at the Snapple Theater in NYC, produced by eyeBlink Entertainment.  Brooke is co-director of the new London-based theater company This Stage Limited, and she is a member of the Drama Desk and the Dramatists Guild of America.

MASI ASARE (Music, Lyrics, Concept)

Masi’s work has been performed at the Ohio Theatre, Ars Nova, HERE, Dixon Place, and LaMaMa in New York City. Masi was a founding member of the Brooklyn-based Anonymous Ensemble, a rock theatre collective. She wrote music and lyrics for the Anonymous Ensemble productions Oracle, The Emperor’s New Vestments, Lysistrata, and The Best (with Eamonn Farrell and Jim Iseman), a long form experimental theatre piece presented at venues including the Brisbane Theatre Festival in Australia, and the Ohio Theatre in New York City. Additional credits include five years as a staff songwriter and music director for Kidstock Theatre (Winchester, MA), where she wrote some sixty songs for children’s musicals; the score for the children’s musical adaptation of The Knight Who Was Afraid of the Dark, commissioned by the Pocket Full of Tales theatre company (Boston, L.A.); and the original musical Dances for a Journey. Masi has also worked as a producer developing new musicals in New York with Raw Impressions and 8Minute Musicals, and has served as a music consultant for RIPFEST Collaborative Film Project’s Movie Musicals initiative. Her vocals and lyrics can be heard on the album Come 'N Play from House of Bamba, where she is a featured vocalist for the song "Evening." Her voice students have appeared on Broadway, on national and international tours, cruise ships, middle school theatre productions, and the Miss America Pageant finals. Masi is an alum of the ASCAP Workshop, the New Dramatists/Nautilus Studio, and the BMI Workshop, and was a 2010-11 Dramatists Guild Fellow studying with Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. She holds a BA from Harvard and an MA from NYU Tisch, both in the field of performance studies. She also works as a grantwriter and fundraiser for arts organizations, and is currently on staff at the Columbia University School of the Arts.
